JOINING THE INDEPENDENT PARTY

Only Oregon voters who select "Independent Party" when they register to vote are members of the Independent Party of Oregon.

Oregon residents who are of legal age to vote can choose to be a member of the Independent Party when they register to vote by selecting "Independent Party" on their voter registration card. This can be done at your local county clerk, or online at the Secretary of State's web site.

We strongly encourage those who want to get more involved with day-to-day operations of running the party to become a supporting or a major supporting member.

People who are interested in forming a chapter in their local community should contact the state council so that we can schedule a local meeting and provide notice to members in the area.
