Reference to the US as democratic, or even representatively democratic, is an authoritarian charade designed to prevent truly democratic legislation. Defacto legislation is controlled by the plutocracy of the landed and moneyed, authoritarian gentry.
The only form of legislation that will put the US back on the libertarian way is the popular initiative. Otherwise, we will continue on the authoritarian way until our nation is degraded to the level of fascist Mexico or Saudi Arabia.
